A day off spent wrestling with preparing the Tearfund Sunday double. I actually enjoyed and needed a morning to chill out a bit. Went to see U23D in the evening- fantastic experience – not just the 3D feeling of being there but the reminder of the power of music and song to reinvigorate you and lift your soul.

That our latest publication which is a bright pink actually looks ok!
The chance to catch up with someone I haven’t seen for far too long, and have that honest conversation that is liberating where you don’t have to be coy… The bus journey in to work was great giving me time to think and ponder in the midst of a week where there just didn’t seem to be much space, wheras the journey home provided a well needed snooze!

I am constantly amazed by how privileged I am to have some of the people I have to coach me through difficult stuff.
homegroup. I love this group of people struggling together to follow Jesus, for the growing honesty, for the longing to know more of the liberation that comes from life in the kingdom.
And for double deckers which I have rediscovered. Thank you Cadbury.

A difficult day but incredibly blessed by friends who care for me and pray for me. The little things – phonecalls, emails, affirmations and rebukes that mean so much. For having to prepare a bible study on freedom for homegroup that pulled me out of my wallowing, and a text from a friend that reminded me how much she has shaped me and how much I have learned from her.
The feeling of freedom, of knowing how much of a disaster I am yet God still pours out grace and invites me to enjoy the liberation of his kingdom…

The last of four supporter evenings I’ve been coordianting for work. Despite a multimedia hiccup, it was great to see it to completion.
Loved the chance to listen and think in the car on the way to Portstewart. the pinnacle of the day was meeting an elderly lady who I discovered has been praying for me for years – she recognised my smile from our team cards. It was one of those humbling and moving moments where you feel so blessed and unworthy all at the same time and in awe of these legendary prayer warriors who help us do what we do.

The joy of finishing editing and proofing a publication and sending it off to the printers.
Lunch out and the chance to chat politics, West Wing, and lots of things i’m passionate about – not sure whether it helped me get through the more mundane next hour or two or made it worse having been energised.
Had the wonderfully bizarre experience tonight of starting a holiday Spanish class tonight in preparation for Peru. After trying to find the room (BMC seemed to think it was enough to tell you it was in large school – not thinking a room number may be helpful), the nervous walk in and awkward hi to the other 12 people there, it settled down. The woman across who looked familiar turned out to be the librarian from school, and I had great fun with Jim and Billy – two 60 somethings from the East holaing, counting in Spanish and returning to primary school to do sums.
