A day off providing some much needed and welcome rest for body and mind.

Had a great meal out at a local fish restaurant with mum before enjoying the nailbiting champions league semi-final!

A  gloriously beautiful day. Spent in the car and inside.

A difficult day too, but i’m grateful it went smoother than expected, was fun at times and allowed some things out in the open that needed to be there. At the end  of the day signs of hope on the horizon.

A change of plan at church meant the sermon slot being given over to the guy running the children’s home a team from church is going to in the summer. Hearing what they are doing was inspiring seemed to be more on God’s agenda than we thought and much needed to remind us what this following Jesus, building God’s kingdom stuff is all about.

A quiet day with our northern team, provided much grace, in spending time with people i love.

Most importantly perhaps the received grace of time, time listening to God, hearing things I needed to hear, realigning perspectives, enjoying simply being.

A late afternoon incident serving as a reminder of the truth of smallcorner’s word’s that God is in control, and generous.

Time planning for the summer filled me with excitement at what lies ahead…

The productivity continues, i’m grateful for a renewed sense of perspective again that has enabled me to gain satisfaction in some of the work I am doing.

Watching the apprentice, with a jalfrezi and cobra. Simple pleasures.

The feeling of productivity of finishing a couple of projects is one i haven’t had for a while.

But all put into perspective in missiology class as we listened to a Malawian church leader, speak of hunger, poverty, life expectancies of 37, HIV/AIDS. A moving and hopeful reminder of the reality in which we live and the encouragement to  keep up the relentless pursuit of justice for the oppressed. A sense of purpose, and vision of what could be was in itself a gift of grace.

Almost halfway – in the last month its felt like catch up at times bu i know this discipline is good and helpful. Despite a day stuck at my desk editing a publication, there was a feeling of satisfaction of seeing the final product beginning to emerge.

Feeling a little under the weather I skived church and instead watched BBC’s the passion, reigniting a hunger to get back to taking some time to soak in what Jesus actually said instead of what the various forms of Christianity interpret that as…
