365 with the soapbox

A fabulously refreshing day – a great lie-in, time to read, think and reflect, go for a run and enjoy barbequing for the first time this summer. All good.

A meeting this evening allowing for a lazy morning in the sun.

Hanging out with some of the people I work with and being reminded how much I love being around them. Said meeting was also a reason to be thankful…

Receiving the generosity of others reminding me what a liberating thing it is to show generosity.

Rediscovering the richness of some of our Christian heritage (from before the reformation)

Time to dream about what could be, a productive afternoon, and a night in with the apprentice.

I love this bank holiday that sneaks up on you when you don’t expect giving the gift of a day off.

Bratwurst, beer and banter in the sun at the continental market made for a great day off.

Sitting in church and being aware that the sermon seemed directed completely towards where I am at.

99s and soapbox racing at stormont was a fun afternoon, finished off with the summer’s first frisbee outing made for a great day of sabbathing!

For the generosity of someone who sent me an anonymous gift in the post. God reminding me no matter how i’m performing he’s still looking out for me.

The satisfaction of finishing off a couple of projects, and finishing the afternoon chilling out in the sun on the grass in trinity. A little glimpse back into the joys of student life.

The after gig midnight chinese was pretty good too.

It may seem strange to say but i’m thankful that Chelsea losing the champions league didn’t really matter. Maybe my priorities were better aligned today.

The chance to hang out in my favourite coffee shop and spend a day talking about life and god, and plotting to change the world.
