Time out to refocus my gaze from myself to a world in need around me.

People who care and invest in me is one of the greatest ways God demonstrates his grace to me. And friends who sharpen, inspire and get me going again…

A church that is committed to living out the gospel no matter how difficult, and committed to teaching on conflict and reconciliation. And also the privilege of being able to see people having been able to connect into a church family.

A fantastic barbeque and post-meat sleep in the sun

Time and space to sit in a coffee shop with the newspaper and time to think.

The moment of the day was a homeless guy coming in asking for sugar and napkins, wanting to pay but when the staff refused, he left some money in the tip bowl. He may not have had a home but he was clinging to his dignity.

The feeling of walking out of my last ever exam (hopefully), getting in the car with springsteen blasting on the stereo and hitting the road. The sun coming out across the border made it perfect…

A productive day of revision, despite a lazy morning.

And scramble.

Rediscovering a little path down by a stream with the sun streaming through the trees – moments of peace, beauty and communion.
